Lead on the development of Regulation 44 practice with the advice and support of AIVCCS its members and other stakeholders Provide the necessary resources including funding to ensure regulation 44 full fills its potential for those in care and care leavers Both Policy DFE and Regulator Ofsted Support and fund the development of joint training at practitioner level between Regulation 44 visitors, Registered Managers and Ofsted Inspectors. Create greater continuity, training, guidance and structure in consultation with regulation 44 providers Lead on code of conduct, ethics and practice for regulation 44 with advice and support from AIVCCS its members and other stakeholders Ofsted, Regulation Be joint partners, provide clarity without over prescription on the role when writing policy and guidance. Promote dialog and role model child centric inspection Appointment of regulation 44 visitors should remain with providers. Others felt we should be licensed. Providers should be clear about the skills, knowledge and experience required by Regulation 44 visitors and requirements for on -going training and development. Any issues about the regulation 44 service should be addressed in Management and Leadership during inspections. Quarterly forums with Regulation 44 providers similar to that residential home for providers.
